Richard was born in  Pouce Coupe, B.C. and raised both in Goodfare, Alberta and Chetwynd, B.C. He received his Certificate of Qualification in the Trade of Embalming and his Certificate of Qualification in Funeral Directing in 1993, while employed with Prince George’s largest Funeral Company. 

Sandy was born in Dawson Creek and was also raised in Chetwynd. Sandy’s outgoing personality and her dedication to helping others has proven to be very valuable as she helps to serve the families of the Peace Region.  Living in the Peace River area allows Richard and Sandy to be close to their five children and nine beautiful grandchildren. 

With their fondness for the Peace Country, Richard and Sandy purchased Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium in 2002. It was an exciting time when Beaverlodge Funeral Service opened in 2012. We look forward to growing with our communities, while providing hometown services.

Bonnie Beck was born and raised in Beaverlodge and still lives on the family farm where she grew up. Bonnie is the daughter of Norm and Susan Beck. Norm passed away in the summer of 2012. Bonnie has an older brother Dwayne and sister-in-law Jolene. Bonnie enjoys spending time with her three nieces and one nephew. Bonnie joined us in April of 2013.

Bonnie is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She graduated from the Mortuary Science Program from the Canadian College of Funeral Service in 2015, and did so with top of her class honors. Bonnie also received four out of five awards and two bursaries. 

Her awards included: Top Academic Achievement Award, Jurisprudence Award, Funeral Service Achievement Award, and Embalming Technologies Award.

We know that this dedication to service will guide Bonnie through as she provides care and support to the families of our communities.

Pauline Haycock is a Funeral Celebrant, she joined us at Beaverlodge Funeral Service in 2013.

Pauline's gift of service has inspired her to join us at Beaverlodge Funeral Service.  Pauline enjoys getting to know the families of our communities on a personal level. This enables her to create a meaningful and personalized celebration of life service.  Pauline's sense of community gives her a strong base to draw from as she companions with families through this difficult time.


Faris Atkinson is our Community Relations Advocate. Faris arrived in Beaverlodge with her family in 1972 and has been connected to the community ever since. She married her high school sweetheart, Terry Atkinson in 1977. They have three children and five grandchildren. After many experiences, Faris has found herself back in Goodfare on the very land her husband's family has lived.

Faris has a background in Health Care. Her current role in the area is of mental health promotion and suicide prevention. She uses her many experiences with grief to help others in her roles as a funeral celebrant and when providing informal bereavement support.

Did you know that in the '80s, Faris wrote new words to an old folk tune, and it was adopted by town council as the official Beaverlodge Song?

Faris joined us in December of 2016, and she looks forward to seeing you and the communities we serve at many events on behalf of Beaverlodge Funeral Service.
