Obituary of Alfred Towner
Alfred Towner, a resident of Hythe, Alberta, formerly of Oakville, Ontario, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in the Hythe Continuing Care Centre at the age of 89 years.
Alfred was predeceased by his wife Laurence, his son Henri, his grandson Christopher, his five siblings, and his parents.
Alfred is survived by his sons Rheal (Beth) Towner, Normand (Shelley-Ann Anderson) Towner, his daughter Nancy (Darrell) Fisher, his grandchildren Kevin James (Shanaa), Karen (Kerri), Samantha (Cody), Emily, Justin and Kurt, his great grandchildren Hannah, Sabrina, Austin, Josh, Nathaniel, Eranne, and Katie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Beaverlodge, AB. Father Albert Sterzer officiated. Interment will be held in the Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville, ON in the Spring of 2018.
For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Alfred to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 110-1525 Carling Avenue Ottawa, ON K1Z8R9.
