Obituary of Elaine Prevost
Elaine Prevost, a resident of Hythe, Alberta formerly of Dawson Creek, BC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Beaverlodge at the age of 69 years.
Elaine was born on August 16, 1949, the eighth child of Norman and Blanche Stubbs. Elaine was a kind and gentle person with a witty sense of humor. She was a devoted stepmother and a favourite auntie.
Elaine attended schools in Hythe and Beaverlodge. She was employed in computer accounting for various companies over the years, and was an accomplished singer and enjoyed participating in the Hythe Community Choir. Elaine was also a member of the Friends of the Library, as well as the Hythe Golden Age Centre. She also sat on the board of the Hythe Pioneer Homes.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband Daniel Prevost, her parents Norman and Blanche Stubbs, her brothers Gordon and Darrel, and her sister Charlotte.
Elaine will be fondly remembered by a large extended family and many friends.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Hythe Alliance Community Fellowship Church in Hythe, AB. Rev. Terry Hatfield officiated. Elaine was placed in the Hythe Cemetery with her husband, Daniel.
