Obituary of Ruby Marie Fisher

It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ruby Marie Fisher. Ruby passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Beaverlodge, Alberta at the age of 77 years. Ruby was born in Hythe, Alberta on June 21, 1936. She was the first of eight children born to Frank and Violet Wyant. At the age of 20 years she married Ed Fisher in 1956. Together they raised four children starting out in Dunkley, BC and Kerry Lake, BC living there for 15 years. Moving back to Alberta in the early 70's they began farming in the Hythe area. Ruby worked at the Hythe Hospital until 1995, all the while being a wonderful mother and hard-working farm wife. In 1997, Ed and Ruby decided to retire from farming and moved into the town of Hythe. She enjoyed her gardens, painting, baking and cooking and keeping her home a warm gathering place for family and friends. Ruby was predeceased by her parents Frank and Violet Wyant, sister Viola Auger, brother Jim Wyant, and grandson Dylan Tremblay.
